Description
1986 and later pickups and 4Runner feature larger vented rotors from the factory. Earlier 1979-1985 trucks used solid (non vented) rotors up front along with smaller calipers. If you're installing a Toyota solid front axle on an 1986-1995 Toyota truck or 4Runner you will want to install a set of these vented Land Cruiser rotors onto the axle. With these rotors you will be able use your existing larger 1986-1995 IFS calipers. Slight grinding of the rotors backing plate might be needed, or you can install backing plate eliminators. Then simply install the IFS calipers right onto the solid axle knuckle using the factory caliper bolts. Don't forget new brake caliper hard lines.
These rotors can also be used on 85 and older trucks to increase braking effectiveness, you will need to purchase IFS Brake Calipers.
This is compatible with hubs from a 1981-85 Toyota 4wd truck & 4Runner (8 hole). Please verify what style wheel hubs you are using before purchasing. 8 Hole (81-85) rotors pictured.
